About

Ecumenical Workshops, King Country & Taranaki (EcWS KC&T) organises and provides Christian worship-related Workshops, with the Brand Name of “These Hills Workshops”,  for the huge rural area of King Country and Taranaki.

Based in Piopio and Te Kuiti, we have grown from a conversation at the NZ Hymnbook Trust’s Conference in September 2009 when Gaynor invited NZ Hymn-writer Colin Gibson to lead a workshop in Te Kuiti. In June 2010 we flew Colin in via Hamilton and out from New Plymouth to show him more of our lovely landscape, after a second workshop in Bellblock, New Plymouth.
(See the Workshops page for further details)

We advertise to all churches in the area, and in the local and denominational media, and all interested people are warmly welcomed.

Workshops are from 10am to 4 pm on Saturdays with ‘Bring and Share’ lunch, or Sunday afternoons, or weekday evenings.
Sales table of relevant books, cds, etc at all workshops.

Registration is FREE to enable all interested people to attend.

Donations (koha) are encouraged as this is our only income from which to pay Tutor Travel etc.

Many of our topics are related to Music, NZ Hymns, and Lay Leadership. We are associated with NZ Hymnbook Trust, deeply appreciate their advice and support, and sell their Hymnbooks and CDs at discount prices.
