Mark Pierson – March 2012 – Worship as an Art Form

Mark’s passion for Christians to grow in worship and be transformed in the presence of God is infectious and instructive. Too often and too easily we settle for what has been done before, hoping that somehow it will become suddenly transformative or remain engaging in rapidly changing culture. There should be a productive restlessness to our pursuit of cultivating – or should I say curating – corporate worship events that have real impact for a greater variety of people. Mark is correct to push the boundaries of what worship experiences can be like to teach us all how to see God in the unexpected, to find opportunities to show God at work in the world (not just in Sunday church services) and perhaps then to even help us all see Him more clearly in the everyday.”
